The Orion platform is based on the same idea – one reliable fault and performance management platform with Scalability Engines that fit the needs of any corporate network.

Orion Scalability Engines enable you to scale the network management capabilities of Orion as your network grows and your needs change. Scalability Engines include:

• Additional Polling Engine - the addition of another Polling Engine distributes polling load between multiple servers for large enterprise networks.
• Additional Web Server - adding an additional web server enables more users to access the Orion web portal without affecting performance.
• Hot Standby Engine – this engine automatically assumes monitoring responsibility if any of the primary pollers go down, providing a reliable backup that ensures data collection never ceases.
