Forces classification of all sent messages and meeting requests
janusSEAL for Outlook Lite enhances the native message classification features of Exchange/Outlook 2007:
- if the sender does not specify a classification using the Outlook
2007 "permissions drop-list" in the toolbar, then janusSEAL for Outlook
Lite shows a classification dialog in which the user must select a
classification before the message is sent
- when sending appointment requests, janusSEAL for Outlook Lite will
show its classification dialog and the user must select a
classification before the meeting request is sent. Without janusSEAL
for Outlook Lite it is not possible to classify appointment requests.
- operates with Outlook 2007 Standard and Professional, and Outlook 2003.
Minimal configuration
janusSEAL for Outlook Lite uses the same configuration information
as used by Outlook 2007 for message classifications. Once an
organisation has successfully configured and deployed the configuration
settings for Exchange 2007 message classifications, janusSEAL for
Outlook Lite is almost ready to go. The only additional configuration
settings needed by it to work is the license information - these
details are simply deployed via Microsoft Group Policy.
janusSEAL for Outlook Lite is not as configurable as janusSEAL for
Outlook - if you want more control over how classifications are
displayed, ordered and what fields they write to the message then you
need to use janusSEAL for Outlook.
janusSEAL for Outlook Lite will never provide such advanced
configuration controls as it is the lightweight version of janusSEAL.
Unlocks message classifications for Outlook 2007 Standard and Outlook 2003
The standard message classification features of Outlook 2007 are part
of the Microsoft Information Rights Management (IRM) capabilities of
Office 2007 and is only available in Outlook 2007 Professional. This is
the more expensive version of Outlook that is available as part of
Office Professional Plus 2007, Office Enterprise 2007 and Office
Ultimate 2007.
janusSEAL for Outlook Lite works in both Outlook 2007 Standard and
Outlook 2003 so organisations do not have to purchase Outlook 2007
Professional to obtain the benefits of Exchange 2007 message
classifications.
